Bijou is a sustainable jewelry set created from ocean plastic. The Turquoise & Emerald color scheme imitates the pattern of ocean tide while generating gemstone texture.

Materials

Plastic bottles: ARROWHEAD (white transparent),

SAN PELLEGRINO (green transparent)

For this project, I repurposed two different plastic bottles from ARROWHEAD and SAN PELLEGRINO, collected from my home.

What if I can give them a second life value?

Concept - Turquoise

The inspiration comes from the tide. I experimented with color and property change, melting and mixing the two kinds of plastic. When two layers overlap each other, it will create an effect of waving and flowing.

Concept - Emerald

The inspiration for Emerald comes from the wave of the ocean. When two layers overlay each other, it will create an effect of waving and flowing.
